I’ve told you a million times baby, you don’t need to thank me for any of that. You loving me the way you do is more than enough.
Maybe so, but I’m not sure you understand how much it really means to me.
Of course he caught her, boosting her up and holding her tightly as he carried her into their bedroom. ”I bet you I missed you more… I drew a picture of you even, it’s down on the fridge next to the one Al made… she made me sign it so everyone would know I did it… we made wedding pictures so we’d have diagrams of how everything needed to be,” he said seriously, imitating his daughter’s tone of voice. She’d been surprisingly serious about it though, so the picture that was on the refrigerator was actually pretty detailed. It had their entire wedding party, but Mikaela and Jason were the center of it, and they were kissing. He sat down slowly on the bed, pulling her with him and running his hand gently up her back. ”How was tonight though? Everything go okay?”
Mikaela scrunched up her nose, shaking her head slowly. “Nope, there’s no way that’s proof you missed me more.” She pointed out, dipping her head forward to place soft kisses up the length of his neck. Nipping gently at the warm skin with careful ease as he carried her through their home as if she weighed absolutely nothing at all. “Everything went well.” Mikaela answered with an easy nod once they were on the bed. Shifting to lay on top of him since he wasn’t going to loosen his grip on her. Not that she wanted him to. She rather enjoyed knowing he had no desire to let her go.
As much as a part of Jason wanted to wait in Kalli’s bed with Alkisti for Mikaela to come back, watching Mikaela leave the room with Kobe made him want to follow. After carefully extracting himself from under his daughter, Jason turned to look at her, lovingly brushing his fingers through her hair before he leaned down and kissed her, He covered her with Kalli’s comforter and made sure the baby monitor was on and she was surrounded by pillows before he made his way out of the room and down to his room. He walked through to the nursery and stood in the doorway as Mikaela put Kobe to sleep. ”I don’t think you have any idea how beautiful you are to me,” he mused softly once Kobe was in his crib. He turned his head to the side and yawned a moment later, reaching out for her. ”Come cuddle?”
She was singing softly and rocking her baby boy in her arms when she heard Jason’s footsteps from behind her. Lowering him down into the crib, a soft smile took her lips at his compliment. “Your bias is showing again,” Mikaela is teasing him as she glances over her shoulder at him before she presses another soft kiss to her son’s cheek. Reluctantly moving away, she turns toward her fiance and cross the room, her slender arms sliding around his waist before she’s pushing her face against his chest. “I really missed you, today.” Mikaela whispers, pressing impossibly close to him. Even going so far as to lift her arms around his neck, jumping up and sliding her legs around his waist, knowing he’ll catch her before she falls.
"I’ve got a nice B cup going on," he teased, then proceeded to flex his pecs to prove her point that he didn’t actually have any man boobs. His eyes followed her hand as she soothed Kobe She was such a good mother and he hated that sometimes she questioned it. He’d hit the jackpot with Mikaela, honestly, and didn’t know where he’d be without her anymore. Yes, he’d still have Alkisti and Kalli, but it wouldn’t be the same. They might be big and slightly abnormal, but they were HIS family, and he was going to love them and protect them as best as he could for the rest of his life. "M’ sleepy though, you wanna go up to bed? Tuck baby boy in and pile princess up with pillows?" he offered, because even though Alkisti was old enough that she stayed in one place in bed, Jason sometimes got paranoid leaving her alone so he put pillows on the edge of the bed, encasing her in a fort so there was less of a chance she would roll off.
Mikaela laughed softly and nodded, lifting her head to plant a soft kiss on Jason’s cheek. “How about you take your princess and I take baby boy here?” Because she didn’t trust herself with Alkisti as much as Jason trusted her. And she selfishly wanted to hold onto her baby boy before she had to lay him in bed. Sliding from the bed, she kicked off her shoes and gently took Kobe from her fiance’s chest, cradling him gently in her arms as she noticed the pout on Jason’s lips. “What in the world am I going to do with you? Let me put him to bed and I’ll come back for the princess, alright?” She leaned over to give him another soft kiss before she left the room, Kobe in tow, smoothing her hand up and down his back.
Mikaela’s breath against his neck woke hip up, and after looking down to see Alkisti asleep and that Kobe was still balanced on top of him, he turned to his future wife and smiled softly. ”Hey baby,” he greeted her, his voice deep and sounding very much like he was still asleep. ”Did you have fun with the girls?” he asked as he glanced past her at the clock on the end table> it was just before midnight< which told him that Kalli had likely met up with Max and he got his girl all to himself.
"Your boys missed you lots tonight, little man tried to suck on my titty," he said, chuckling as he talked about Kobe. He had all his teeth now and was actually starting to bite. It didn’t hurt, but when he wasn’t expecting it? Ouch. He leaned over carefully to kiss her hello.
He’d always been somewhat of a sensitive sleeper, but ever since Kobe was born, it was almost impossible doing anything without waking him up. Unless he was super fucking tired and then nobody could wake up, but she wasn’t surprised to hear his sleep filled voice. Her gaze leaving Kobe’s face to meet Jason’s. “Yeah,” she answered with a slight nod, turning her head back to rest it on his shoulder while glancing down at her sleeping baby boy. “You don’t have a titty, silly.” She chuckled, soothing her hand gently down Kobe’s back. He was growing so fast and Mikaela couldn’t quite believe she was pregnant again - would she even be able to keep up with three children, let alone two babies?
It was a rare occasion when Jason was the only adult home, but Mikaela was out with some of her bridesmaids and Jason was on daddy duty. Except for him, Daddy duty had been cut short while reading to Alkisti in Kalli’s bed, because she liked sleeping in there if Kalli wasn’t home. So that’s where he was at the moment, dozing lightly with Kobe passed out on his chest and Alkisti burrowed into his side. His reading glasses were still on his face, falling off just slightly, and he looked adorable.
While their upcoming nuptials was something to look forward to, Mikaela honestly couldn’t wait for all of this planning to be over. She couldn’t wait for everything to be finalized. Three more weeks and there wouldn’t be anymore dress fittings, no more finalizing placements or floral arrangements or anything she really had no interest in. A part of her felt broken because she wasn’t excited about all of the wedding planning - didn’t every little girl dream of their wedding day? Mikaela never had, she’d never quite believed she would make it this far. Make it anywhere, let alone, it’d been almost a year since— Mikaela pushed those thoughts aside as she made her way inside. She had far too much good in her life to dwell on past circumstances, but she could never control her nightmares no matter how much she wished she could.
A soft smile edged over her lips as her gaze fell upon the image before her. Her eyes swelling with tears as the adorableness of the situation crashed over her. Her hand falling to her belly. Jason was a great father and after the test she’d taken the day before with Stella’s encouragement? There was no doubt she was carrying another child. Quietly setting her stuff down, Mikaela crossed the room to crawl onto the empty side of the bed and without hesitation, she slid her body right up against his - willing her thoughts into silence as she buried her face against Jason’s neck, her hand lifting to smooth back the tuft of hair on her baby boy’s head where he lay on his daddy’s chest.
